Krpacovo Cottage

We offer you accommodation in a private cottage for 6 people in the beautiful mountain surroundings of Krpacovo in Slovakia, which is part of the Low Tatras National Park (NAPANT). The whole cottage is always yours alone. It lies at an altitude of 760 metres, 40 km from Banská Bystrica towards Brezno.

Krpacovo Cottage - summer view of the cottage The cottage sits in a quiet coniferous forest with an outstanding mountain view of the ridge. There is a lake and the Tále and Srdiečko recreation centres nearby, as well as ski lifts.
The area offers many opportunities for activities: hiking, cycling, swimming, fishing, boating on the lake, golf, minigolf, tennis, bowling, a rope park, skiing, visiting caves and much more.
The accommodation is suitable for families with children as well as couples who want to spend a pleasant holiday in privacy. By prior arrangement, you can bring your pets along too.

About the cottage

The cottage has two floors furnished with wooden furniture: the ground floor holds a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom, while upstairs there are two bedrooms. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 guests.

Common room with a fireplace and a dining table The ground floor has a living room with seating by the fireplace and a satellite TV. Two fold-out daybeds can serve as extra beds if needed. From the living room there is access to a covered terrace with seating and a wonderful view. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, an electric-gas cooker and a tiled cooker with a baking oven. Common kitchen equipment (glasses, dishes, pots, cutlery…), including tea towels and washing-up liquid, is at your disposal. The bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a washbasin with a mirror. Toilet paper and basic cleaning supplies, a mop and a broom are available.

Bedroom with a double bed Attic bedroom with three beds On the first floor there are two furnished bedrooms, each with three beds. One of them also has a fold-out sofa as an extra bed. Both bedrooms have cabinets with storage space. Bed linen is included in the price of the stay, so you only need to pack your own towels.

Fire in the fireplace The cottage is heated by solid fuel (a hot-air fireplace in the living room), electric heaters and underfloor heating (living room, kitchen and bathroom). This keeps the cottage comfortable all year round. Wood for heating is included in the price of the stay.
The water comes from our own natural spring with a filtration system. We recommend boiling it before drinking.
There is no Wi-Fi at the cottage, but mobile signal works. A break from the internet can be a pleasant part of your holiday.

Covered gazebo with outdoor seating During your stay you can use the garden gazebo with seating and a fireplace or the outdoor seating by an open fire. Wood for the fire is included in the price; for a barbecue you need to bring your own briquettes or charcoal. Parking is available right next to the cottage. The nearest restaurant is 2 km from the cottage, the nearest shop 6 km, the bus stop 1.5 km and the train station (Podbrezová) 10 km.
